Plant Fossil Names Registry
Database of palaeobotanical names, types, works and authors.
Designate lectotype, neotype and epitype, or type of supraspecific taxon.
Add already published names, types, references, journals or authors.
The Plant Fossil Names Registry (PFNR) is a database of names registering preferentially new, but also previously published names of plant fossils and associated nomenclatural acts (fossil diatoms and fossil fungi excluded).
The aim of this database is dual – to fulfil the requirement of the ICN as stated by Barkworth (et al. 2016), and to accumulate names of earlier described plant fossils serving as a potentially authoritative index of plant fossil names.
The Plant Fossil Names Registry is a database run by the National Museum Prague for the International Organisation of Palaeobotany.
