Original diagnosis/description
Leaves 4–11 mm wide, with 6–12 veins per leaf width in the median part of the leaf; leaves hypostomatic; stomata on the lower epidermis arranged in bands; anticlinal cell walls undulate; every cell of the adaxial epidermis with one to two small flattened papillae; some cells of the stomatal bands with papillae; most subsidiary cells exhibiting a proximal papilla.
