Original diagnosis/description

Pollen organ borne on a broad stalk, with the central ellipsoidal core bearing about 300 elongated scales. Each scale bearing or containing several (>l0) long narrow pollen sacs. Pollen of Eucommiidites-type, elliptical in outline, length to width ratio typically 1.5-2 : 1.

Etymology

From the state of Texas where the fossils were collected.
