Original diagnosis/description

Tepals six to eight, broadly ovate with rounded apices Stamens five to seven, 0.5 mm long and about two times longer than wide. Pollen dicolpate? Ovary unicarpellate. Carpel wall thick. Upper part of ovary wall with short trichomes. Floral tissue with oil cells.

Etymology

From the small size of the flowers (Latin parvus [small]).

Portugal
Catefica (39°03′30″N, 09°14′30″W), between the villages of Catefica and Mugideira, about 4 km south of Torres Vedras, Portugal.
