Original diagnosis/description
Petals triangular, their outline imprinted in dorsal stamen surface; anther apex massive and sterile, slightly acute, wedge-shaped, anther valves elongate; pollen with 13–15 μm long polar axis and 10–12 μm aequatorial diameter, reticulum of ectexine coarse, tectal perforations narrow.
Etymology
Specific epithet derived from latin "bis": twice, and "valva": valve; referring to the anther structure.
