Original diagnosis/description

Scutellum trullate to almost triangular-shaped with acute-obtuse apex. The margin of scutellum is pectinate and irregularly lobed. 3–5 oblate-shaped microsporangia per microsporophyll.

Etymology

The species epithet honours Richard Klebs (1850–1911) and his meticulous work on coniferous plant inclusions from Baltic amber.

Paleogene, Eocene, Priabonian
Most likely from the "Blue Earth" layer, late Priabonian.

Locality

Russian Federation
The holotype comes from the Berendt collection of Baltic Amber, most probably Samland Peninsula, Russia, but the precise locality of the holotype is unknown.
