Original diagnosis/description
Strobili attached to an axis; six nodal sporophylls; sporophylls attached perpendicularly then turning acutely upwards; six sporangiophores adaxially to each sporophyll per node; sporangia, anatropous, one pair per sporangiophore; spores monolete and of the Laevigatosporites-type.
Etymology
In honour of Professor Lee Hsing-Hsüeh (Li Xingxue), Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Academia Sinica, for his continuous contribution to the understanding of Chinese palaeobotany.
