Original diagnosis/description

Up to four equally developed leaves, of the microphyllous class size, per rosette; parallel secondary veins developed in the lower half of the lamina, up to two per costa.

Etymology

In honour of Ruth A. Stockey who wrote a key contribution to our understanding of the genus.
