Original diagnosis/description
Gymnosperm leaf with segmented lamina with dense, simple parallel veins, 27–30 per cm. Stomata confined to intercostal area on abaxial surface. Stomata round to elliptic and oriented perpendicular to veins. Guard cells slightly overlapped by adjacent subsidiary cells. Trichome bases on abaxial surface. Rachis rhomboidal in cross section.
Etymology
Specific epithet in honor of the late Prof. Saburo Oishi, who undertook many foundational studies on Japanese Mesozoic flora.
