Original diagnosis/description
Sepals fused for most of their length forming a cupular calyx, petals free and obovate, length of the staminal tube approximately a third of the stamens, and tricarpellate gynoecium.
Etymology
The epithet honours Professor Bo Wang (Chi- nese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing, China), in recognition of his outstanding research on the Zhangpu amber deposit.
