Original diagnosis/description
Fronds at least once pinnate. Pinnules alternately and closely arranged, 1.4–8.0 mm long and 0.9–3.3 mm wide, ovate to lanceolate, with contracted bases, rounded apexes, and alternately deeply lobed margins. Lobe number per pinnule 2–8 (1–4 pairs), varying with pinnule length. Midvein distinct, thin, extending from base to apex. Pinnules sphenopteroid-type. Sporangia abaxially attached, annulate, ovoidal to ellipsoid, 220–300 μm in diameter, and irregularly grouped. Sporangial groups scattered on each pinnule lobe. Transverse annuli individually bearing two to three rows of thick-walled cells and encircling half perimeter of each sporangium. Annulus cells elongated to tetragonal/polygonal. Ordinary cells of the sporangial wall polygonal and thin-walled. Trilete triangular spores, radial area wavily rounded, inter-radial region concave, labrum sometimes developed, and microgranulate to microverrucate sculpture slightly thickened on both surfaces.
