Original diagnosis/description
Costapalmate palm leaves with a narrow elongate costa, the lamina small; transverse veins forming a zig-zag pattern; segments attached
(connate) for N50% of segment length, plication induplicate. Petiole unarmed.
Etymology
The specific epithet geneseensis is proposed, in reference to the locality where the fossil species was collected.

Early Paleocene, upper member of the Scollard Formation.
