Original diagnosis/description

Leaves simple, palmately three-lobed, petiolate, leaf size mesophyll, length–width ratio almost 1:1. Lamina elliptical to ovate, symmetrical. Apices of lateral lobes directed upward; apex angle of lobes acute, apex shape straight. Base angle of leaf lamina reflex, base shape cordate. Primary venation basal actinodromous with five basal veins and compound agrophic veins. Major secondary veins (5–6 pairs) curved apically, alternate, craspedodromous or
semicraspedodromous with irregular spacing. Intersecondary veins occasionally present.
Leaf margin serrate or occasionally dentate. Tooth spacing regular with up to three orders of teeth and four to five teeth per cm. Sinus shape angular, tooth shapes typically convex/convex, sometimes flexuous/convex or straight/straight.

Etymology
