Original diagnosis/description
Secondary wood with predominantly uniseriate pitting. Biseriate pitting, alternate, closepacked, pits circular to hexagonal and confined to the ends of tracheids. Cross-fields characterized by 2–9 pits (mode 6, mean 5.8). Rays short, uniseriate, 1–14 (mode 4; mean 4.65) cells tall.
