Original diagnosis/description
Endocarp , bisymmetrical, rounded in lateral view, broadly lenticular in cross-section; ornamented with more than 60 shallow concave areas separated
by ridges, the latter tending to be arranged in longitudinal rows; rounded base; small pointed apical style, somewhat irregular, giving the impression of apical placentation of the anatropous seed. Testa, hilum, micropyle, and chalaza unknown.

After Israel where the fossil fructification was found.
