Types

Original diagnosis/description

Endocarp obpyriform, subglobose, asymmetrically skewed, ca. 15mmlong, 9mmwide, and 10mmdeep. Surface smooth, with a pronounced, longitudinal keel extending from ventral scar and over the dorsal surface. Ventral scar asymmetrically pyriform in face view (fig. 11A1), 6 mm wide and 8.5mmlong, with an aperture in widest portion of the endocarp. Wall thickness not preserved.

Etymology

Named after E. W. Berry, for his prolific and extensive paleobotanical contributions, including the first paleobotanical descriptions of the Trinity flora.
