Original diagnosis/description
Pollen cone with helically arranged microsporophylls. Each microsporophyll peltate, bearing three ovoid elongate pollen sacs containing pollen of two types: Araucariacites and Callialasporites.
Etymology
The generic name is derived from the pollen genus Callialasporites found in situ in the pollen cone.
